Regular oiling or coating renewal is recommended, as it significantly improves resistance to moisture and stains.
Apply the oil with a clean cotton/linen cloth or a brush, thoroughly rubbing it into the surface. Wipe off any excess oil. Repeat the process after 24 hours. Regularly renew the coating when you notice the surface becoming dull and absorbent to water.
