 PROPERTIES

‐ easy to use
‐ completely transparent

‐ UV stable
‐ chemically resistant
‐ hydrophobic
‐ easy cleaning.

APPLICATION

Nano Coat is suitable for all non-absorbent surfaces, such as surfaces
coated with single- and two-component paints (polyurethanes and epoxies),
polyester paints, metal surfaces (aluminum, zinc, stainless steel, copper,
bronze, brass), plastic composite materials reinforced with glass fibers, and
similar.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

‐ metal facades (aluminum, stainless steel, painted surfaces)
‐ aluminum wheels
‐ traffic signs, parking meters, distribution stations
‐ polished marble and granite slabs.

APPLICATION METHOD

It is applied in undiluted form.
The best application method is manual using a sponge or a microfiber roller.
Spraying is also possible using HVLP equipment (e.g., SATA minijet HVLP gun).
Pressure: 2‐3 bar
Nozzle: 0.8 – 1.3 mm
Equipment cleaning: e.g., butyl acetate
Application should only be performed by a well-trained person.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION

The substrate must be clean, degreased, and completely dry.

Difficult-to-reach areas, crevices, and cavities must be dried with absorbent cloths or thoroughly blown out with air.
In contact with moisture, Nano Coat reacts too quickly and does not form a permanent protective layer.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS

Application temperature: min. 5°C and max. 30°C.
Relative air humidity: 30 – 80%
Freshly applied coating should preferably not be exposed to direct sunlight.
Application should not be performed in rainy weather.
After application, already coated or poorly coated areas can only be corrected for about 10 minutes; later, due to the repellent effect of Nano Coat, this becomes very difficult.
Average consumption is about 15 ml/m2, which means 6‐8 m2 with 100 ml.
This quantity should preferably not be exceeded.
Before starting work, pour only a small amount of Nano Coat from the original packaging into a smaller container.
Leftovers must not be poured back into the original packaging!
The cloth or microfiber roller should always be clean. If either becomes soiled,
it must be replaced with a new one.
After successful use, the cloth or roller must be discarded.
If Nano Coat in the container gels or forms a white precipitate, it is no longer usable and must be discarded.

DRYING

Nano Coat is touch dry at room temperature after approximately 1 hour.
The coating is dry and weather-resistant under the following conditions:
‐ at room temperature: 8‐12 hours or
‐ at 80°C: 2 hours or
‐ at 130‐180°C: 1 hour
Final properties are achieved by the coating at room temperature after 5‐7 days.
Adhesion is best after drying at elevated temperatures.

WORK SAFETY

Follow the instructions in the safety data sheet.
When working, use solvent-resistant protective gloves (e.g., butyl or nitrile rubber).
Wearing protective goggles that fit well is mandatory.
Respiratory protection with a half mask with filter A2 B2 E2 Hg/P3 is also required.
Nano Coat must not be mixed with other coatings or diluted with different solvents.
Also, ensure that it does not come into the hands of children.

STORAGE

Store in a dry and cool place (below 25°C) for up to 6 months.
The container should be opened from time to time to release the pressure of ammonia,
which may develop during prolonged storage.

CLEANING GRAFFITI

Cleaning graffiti should be done with cleaners with a pH range of 3‐12. Avoid
cleaners based on strong acids or alkalis.
If possible, graffiti cleaning should be done as quickly as possible.
For graffiti cleaning, we recommend the cleaner Grafit-ex. After
cleaning, rinse or wipe the surface with the cleaner IČ 47.
